Agua For Autism
At Agua For Autism, we believe that the trust of our donors, volunteers, partners, and the communities we support is built through transparency, sound management of resources, and accountability in every decision. This policy summarizes our commitments regarding institutional transparency and the security of both the information and the resources we manage.
1. Our Commitment to Transparency
We are committed to reporting clearly and honestly on our work: which projects we support, how the donations received are used, and what results they generate. We want any donor or partner to be able to know the destination of their contribution.
2. Use of Resources and Donations
The resources raised by Agua For Autism are allocated to supporting partner foundations in Colombia that work directly with vulnerable children and young people and/or those with disabilities. A portion of the resources may be allocated to reasonable administrative and operating expenses necessary for the foundation’s operation and the proper management of projects.
Each donation is recorded and managed following responsible accounting practices, and is allocated to the specific purposes communicated to the donor when applicable.
3. Selection and Monitoring of Partner Foundations
Before establishing a partnership, Agua For Autism verifies that the partner foundation is legally established, has a verifiable track record, and carries out real programs that benefit its community. During the partnership, we monitor the use of the resources provided and the impact generated, maintaining ongoing communication with the partner foundation.
4. Accountability
Agua For Autism is committed to sharing periodic information about its activities and the projects it supports and, to the extent the organization makes it available, reports or summaries on the use of funds raised. As the foundation grows, we will expand the financial and management information available to the public.
5. Governance
Decisions regarding the use of resources and Agua For Autism’s strategic partnerships are evaluated by the foundation’s leadership, always seeking to ensure that each decision is aligned with our mission and with the best interests of the children and young people we support.
6. Information Security
We adopt reasonable measures to protect the information we manage — including data on donors, beneficiaries, and partners — against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse, in line with our Data Protection Policy. Online payments and donations are processed through external payment platforms with recognized security standards; Agua For Autism does not store sensitive financial data such as card numbers.
7. Fraud Prevention and Prevention of Resource Misuse
Agua For Autism rejects any practice of corruption, fraud, or misuse of donated resources. Any irregularity detected will be investigated and, if confirmed, appropriate measures will be taken, including ending the partnership with the organization involved, if applicable.
8. Channel for Questions, Suggestions, or Reports
Anyone — donor, volunteer, partner, or member of the community — may write to us with questions, suggestions, or to report a concern about the management of resources or the operation of the foundation, at info@aguafoundation.org. All concerns will be handled with seriousness and confidentiality.
9. Updates to This Policy
This policy may be updated as Agua For Autism formalizes new governance, audit, or reporting processes. The date of the last update will be indicated at the end of this document.
