Sirlena María is a 19-year-old young woman from Barrancabermeja, Colombia. She has multiple disabilities, including a visual and an intellectual disability, which make accessing information and some learning processes a challenge for her. Even so, she is a smiling, attentive and empathetic young woman, known for her willingness to help both her teachers and her classmates; she enjoys taking part in all kinds of activities and embraces every learning opportunity with enthusiasm and dedication.
Through educational programs and specialized support, Sirlena continues to strengthen her communication, independence and participation skills. To keep moving forward, she needs ongoing support, assistive resources and accessible teaching strategies that allow her to reach her full potential.
